Zoning Hearing

Zoning Hearing

After many years of hard work on the building and garden of General Sisters, in April 2014 the zoning in our neighborhood changed (something positive in the larger scheme of things) making General Sisters coded for “residential.” Over the past months our energy has gone into preparing an appeal for Non-Conforming use and a Variance for our Zoning Hearing Board so that General Sisters can be a commercial space as planned.

On June 2, 2016, a public hearing was held at the North Braddock Borough Building. We were honored to hear statements by many supporters from the neighborhood and beyond. Some of these statements are included here to share as a document of that evening and of the ongoing support we receive.
